The Teen Awareness Girls’ Group - New London

What can a binder and a group for adolescent girls do? Change lives!
Participants, 13 to 17, go on a journey of healing and self-discovery with a special binder filled with stories, poetry, art
and information on successful living. The girls bond together through information and activities that build character.
Mastering irrational fears, practicing patience, perseverance and cooperation with the other girls increases confidence
and self-esteem. Life issues are explored in a relaxed atmosphere of mutual respect and acceptance. The girls learn how
to deal with challenges positively and make healthy decisions. By recognizing their uniqueness and identifying personal
gifts and talents, they come to value and accept themselves as they are.
The participant graduates with a renewed faith in herself, her future and in those who care about her.
Space is limited as this is a small group experience.
